The Oppinions I need are related to cars (duh), and music/instruments. What parts of the car do you think best represent the major instrument groups? For example, I think the exhaust best represents the brass section, and the tires represent the percussion.

I need car parts that represent the woodwinds and the strings, and maybe the percussion (because the tires don't really make a whole lot of sense). I was thinking the supercharger could be the woodwinds? The woodwinds hit pretty damn high notes. What would the strings be? This kind of thing is flummoxing me. It's such a strange thought. Any help would be much appreciated though.

Accessory belts would be the strings instruments. They squeak on many cars.

Woodwinds would be superchargers indeed, strings are turbochargers. As for percussion... huh... a huge V8 on idle perhaps?

Strings = brakes

The single sexiest visual mechanical component on a car. And also the thing that ties all the others together and exercises restraint.

Or maybe steering, since strings typically guide you through a performance.

Cam shafts for percussion? Their rhythmic tapping makes sure the entire ensemble doesn't fall apart.

Woodwinds - Supercharger Whine

Brass - Exhaust at wot

Strings - Rushing Intake noise

Basically a top fuel dragster.

Strings could be the hand(emergency) brake cables, when the brake is applied the tension on the cable is sufficient to resonate when 'plucked'?
